Task: Purchase a FujiNet Pro for Booting Software from an SD Card and the Internet

Introduction
I have previously posted about the open-source FujiNet peripheral device that plugs into the SIO port of an Atari 8-bit computer giving it access to software from an SD card or a server on the internet via Wi-Fi. These devices are a must-have for any Atari 8-bit computer user. Interestingly, it has been ported to other platforms including the Apple II.
A new version of the FujiNet hardware, the FujiNet Pro, has been designed and made available by Lotharek’s Lair. This new device uses the same software. However, the circuit board has been redesigned with some new features including a passthrough SIO port to connect other devices easily and a regular sized SD card. It also comes in a sturdy metal case with an external Wi-Fi antenna that sits nicely on your desk. The fuji on the top of the unit glows red when powered on via USB.
Instructions
Navigate to Lotharek’s Lair and purchase the FujiNet Pro for around $100 plus shipping. You can also sometimes find these on eBay.

I love the look and feel of this device and the sturdy metal case. I always feel like I am going to break the plastic 3-D printed models.
Note that it requires a USB-C connector for power. The original versions (shown above) received their power via the SIO.
Note that my FujiNet Pro did not work when I received it. I eventually discovered that the SIO cable they sent with the device was defective.
If you already have a FujiNet with software loaded onto a microSD card you can simply insert that into a microSD to SD card adaptor and use that in the Pro.
